Focusing on change has not brought the results I had hoped, disappointing me. I had really hoped to see my new decade by the 1st of March, but it won't happen. I have to kick things into high gear to get moving. I think I need to implement exercise back into my life. Starting next week, I will have some time off work because my oldest is having her tonsils and adenoids removed and then I have two weeks off for March break. That allows for three weeks of serious time to focus on exercise and eating well.
I continue to search to find peace in this area and I know that peace comes from One and One alone. It is the direction I seek and choose to follow.
Eating less, moving more,
Dawne

Be very careful with your kidneys, I had one shut down from a bad infection.
So sad to read about the pain you in, please check it out and report back to us who care about you.
Ditto to the concerns of others about taking good care of your kidneys.
Also wanted to tell you how much your story is STILL encouraging me. I am so stuck on a plateau at exactly the same weight you were stuck on for so long when I first began reading your blog. I've been stuck here for a month despite consistent healthy eating days. I keep telling myself to be patient, but patience wears thin. I know from personal experience and the stories from others like you that this will break, but oh how I wish it would HURRY!!!
Hope you are feeling better soon. Yes, take care of YOU.
I hope you find out what's going on soon!! Take care of yourself!!!
Oh Dawne please make an appointment soon - this is so not something to mess around with. My husbands side of the family has a history of kidney problems and the second of two of my brother in laws is on the waiting list for a kidnsy transplant. So far my hubby has been spared of any issues with his kidneys.
I can tell you that this time around for me I had to really change up my food plan and increase the exercise in order to drop any pounds. It is still going slow even though I am on the 17 Day Diet food plan - but at least the pounds or ounces are dropping.
The important thing is to remember to feed yourself well with healthy food. For me, exercise is the magic bullet and it doesn't even have to be more than walking at a fast pace to make the metabolism kick in!
You can do it! My prayers and good thoughts are with you. Take care.
Feel better soon Dawne. Yup, go the dr and get it checked out. I am in the same boat with my weight. I did not get the results that I hoped for either. I was counting calories and thought I did pretty darn good. Apparently my body didnt agree since I only shed one pound. I expected a bigger loss the first week.
I have been praying that I too can find some peace in this area and make the right decisions. This morning I decided to join WW online for the main reason that it will keep my portion in tact. I too need to get the exercise back into my life.
Hang in there. We will figure this out. Although I have to tell you that I am truly dumbfounded that we are again in the same place...

I hope everything's okay with your kidney. I will keep you in my prayers.
I'm in the same place you are...wishing I was farther along. The only comforting thing I can say is that we are not alone. We're all in this together, supporting and encouraging one another along the way.
Hang in there my friend!
Please be careful with your pain. Hope the three weeks you have coming up will help you get back into routine again!
I hope you have taken heed of those who have gone before me and made an appointment to see your doctor.
Sending warm hugs and healing prayers.xxx
It's been a while since you posted so now I am getting worried about you.
Prayers that all is well and you are just too busy to post.
